On this episode of the Bucs MinuteCast with Dan Holmi, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Training Camp is coming up, and head coach Todd Bowles is eager for the competition at outside linebacker. He mentioned there’s strong depth at edge rusher and expects a tough battle as many capable players compete for positions.

Bowles highlighted Yaya Diaby as likely to be a starter among the group. Jose Ramirez, who spent time on the practice squad last year, has also been getting attention, and tough decisions will need to be made.

Training camp is set to begin next week on the 24th. and fans can expect an exciting competition as players vie for positions and opportunities. Additionally, there were reports that the Buccaneers hired Liam Coen as their new offensive coordinator, based on Baker Mayfield’s recommendation.

Baker Mayfield discussed the hiring process, expressing his surprise at being consulted before finalizing his own deal with the team. He had previous experience with Coen during his time with the Los Angeles Rams. Mayfield also shared his thoughts about the Buccaneers’ decision-making process, mentioning his feelings about being discarded by other teams before his successful debut season with the Buccaneers. He expressed his surprise at the team considering his input and ultimately signing him to a contract.

Overall, Mayfield is focused on proving himself and the Buccaneers right in selecting a coordinator who can bring out the best in the team’s offense.
