Buccaneers Release Long-Time Long Snapper

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have begun the arduous task of cutting their roster down from 90 – 53 by August 27th.

Via Tampa Bay Times Rick Stroud,

“Bucs have released long snapper Zach Triner as cuts begin. They will go with former Duke LS Evan Deckers.”

Zach Triner has been the Buccaneers long snapper for the last five seasons. He was an undrafted free agent out of Assumption University in 2015. He spent time with the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers before signing with the Bucs in 2019.

Evan Deckers is entering his second season in the league. He was signed by the Bucs after going undrafted in 2023 out of Duke.
