The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been busy these past couple of days trimming their roster down to the mandatory 53-man limit.
Now that they’ve hit the 53-man requirement, it’s time to start tweaking the roster and filling the practice squad. That process appears to have already started Tuesday evening.
“Receiver Sterling Shepard, among the Bucs’ final cuts, will be returning to Tampa Bay for a spot on their practice squad. Great for depth and has a history with Baker Mayfield.”
Sterling Shepard signed with the Buccaneers during the offseason with hopes of reuniting with his college teammate Baker Mayfield. After being released on Monday he’s set to rejoin the team’s practice squad. Look for Shepard to get moved to the 53-man roster sooner than later.
