The Tampa Bay Buccaneers came out on top 37-20 over the Washington Commanders in their season opener Sunday. While the game itself was everything the fan base wanted, some injuries may have taken a bit of the luster off of the win.

Via NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero,

“Bucs CB Bryce Hall suffered a dislocated right ankle and fractured fibula in today’s win over Washington, per source. Hall was carted off the field in an air cast. A tough blow.”

It wasn’t just defensive back Bryce Hall that suffered an injury during the team’s home opener. Starting defensive back Zyon McCollum sustained a concussion and his backup Josh Hayes went down as well before Hall’s injury.

The team will conduct further tests to determine the severity of these injuries. But it does appear Bryce Hall will be out for an extended period of time.
