Buccaneers Update Vita Vea’s Injury

0

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Detroit Lions 20-16 Sunday to improve to 2-0 on the season. Unfortunately the victory came at a cost. Bucs defensive lineman Vita Vea left the game with a knee injury. The severity wasn’t known until further tests could be done.

The tests results apparently are in according to head coach Todd Bowles, and it appears to be good news for Vea.

Via Fox Sports Greg Auman,

“Bowles says Vita Vea has a Grade 2 MCL sprain but wouldn’t even rule him out for Sunday vs. Broncos. Says he is day to day.”

This is fantastic news for the team. Initially it was thought this may be a season ending injury. So having Vea listed as day-to-day and potentially available next week against the Broncos is huge.
