The Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Denver Broncos this Sunday in an attempt to start the season 3-0. Unfortunately for the Bucs the injury bug has bitten them to start the season.
Last week against the Lions the Bucs were basically with five starters, this week it isn’t looking much better.
Via Sports Illustrated’s River Wells,
“RT Luke Goedeke, DT Calijah Kancey and S Antoine Winfield Jr. are ruled out, per Todd Bowles. Vita Vea was not ruled out, did a little bit today.”
Luke Goedeke, Calijah Kancey and Antoine Winfield Jr will all miss their second consecutive games. Vita Vea was injured during the win at Detroit, he hasn’t officially been ruled out yet, but it isn’t likely he’ll play either.
Via the team’s website on Vea,
“He did some things. He’s gotten a lot better. We’ll see how much better he gets until Sunday. If not, we’ll put him down. If he’s feeling good, we’ll see where he is.”
The final injury report comes out later today for both teams. We’ll update you once they are released.
