The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have opened the 21-day window for cornerback Jamel Dean to return from injured reserve, where he’s been since October 21 due to a hamstring injury sustained in week six against New Orleans.
Having missed four games, Dean is now eligible for activation within the next three weeks, potentially returning as soon as Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.
“The Buccaneers opened a 21-day window for the return of starting CB Jamel Dean from injured reserve on Monday, making him eligible to return to action as soon as this Sunday against the Giants.”
Coming off their bye, the Buccaneers schedule is as follows. Monday is a bonus walk-through. Then Wednesday the team returns to a normal game-week schedule.
Dean won’t count against the 53-man roster limit until activated, requiring a corresponding move.
Dean’s return comes as the Pewter Pirates look to make a playoff run coming out of their bur week. At 4-6 they definitely have their work cutout for them. Call it a birthday present for head coach Todd Bowles.
