Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs is recovering from an MCL sprain as the team heads out of it’s bye week and prepares for the New York Giants.
Monday, the team had a bonus walk-through practice and Wirfs was spotted in attendance wearing a brace on the Injured knee.
Bucs All-Pro left tackle Tristan Wirfs, who suffered a sprained MCL in Week 10, was out on the field with teammates wearing a brace on his right knee during today’s bonus walk-through. He’s considered week-to-week right now. He was putting weight on it fine.

While Wirfs was in attendance, there’s speculation he still won’t be available for this week’s game in New York. But if Wirfs time in Tampa has showed us anything, it’s that he’s an athletic freak of nature.
Via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times,
“T Tristan Wirfs is wearing a brace on his right knee which has a mild MCL sprain. He is week to week but based on how he was moving, I would guess he won’t play Sunday.”
Wirfs signed a contract extension back in August of this year. From the team’s website,
“All-Pro tackle Tristan Wirfs has agreed to a five-year contract extension running through 2029 that makes him the highest paid player at his position in the NFL”
