The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to face the New York Giants this week following their bye. Monday it was reported that the Giants are making a change at the quarterback position.

Via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport,

“The Giants are benching QB Daniel Jones, officially moving on from their starter.

Out of the bye week, with the team 2-8, Jones now heads to the bench in what the team has said would be a football decision.”

Giants head coach Brian Daboll announced plans to assess quarterback options during the bye week, and reportedly, a decision has been made to bench Daniel Jones and hand the reigns to Tommy DeVito.

Via NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero,

“Tommy DeVito now expected to take over starting Sunday against the Bucs. He has a comfort level with Brian Daboll’s offense and a lot more reps in it than backup Drew Lock.”

The Buccaneers are now set to face fan-favorite quarterback Tommy DeVito. DeVito has a 3-3 record as a starter and as we know, the Bucs tend to struggle in these situations when asked to face an unfamiliar quarterback.
