The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the New York Giants 30-7 on Sunday to improve to 5-6 on the season. Unfortunately during the game safety Jordan Whitehead suffered a pectoral injury. Reports on Monday aren’t encouraging.
“Bucs S Jordan Whitehead is feared to have torn his pec, an injury that would end his season, sources say. He’s getting an MRI to confirm the diagnosis. Last week, Tampa claimed S Mike Edwards, who won a Super Bowl ring with them. Now, he’ll provide key help in the secondary.”
Whitehead will get an MRI to confirm the diagnosis, but it doesn’t look good for the defensive back.
We’ll keep you posted when new information becomes available.
