Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Kwon Alexander is getting another opportunity in the NFL, this time with the Detroit Lions. Alexander, who parted ways with the Buccaneers in 2018, has since played for several teams and was most recently a member of the Denver Broncos’ practice squad.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Alexander has been signed by the Lions, who are dealing with a string of injuries to their linebackers.

Alexander was selected by the Buccaneers in the 2015 draft out of Louisiana State University (LSU). During his tenure with the Buccaneers, Alexander compiled an impressive record, with 271 solo tackles, 109 assisted tackles, 7 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, and 6 interceptions over 46 games. Since departing Tampa Bay in 2018, Alexander has had stints with several NFL teams, including the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, and most recently, the Denver Broncos.
