The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made a couple of roster adjustments ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Edge rusher Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, who suffered an ankle injury during last Sunday’s victory over the New York Giants, has been ruled out and did not travel with the team to Charlotte. To bolster their roster, the Buccaneers are temporarily elevating quarterback Michael Pratt from the practice squad.

Via the team’s website,

“The Tampa Bay Buccaneers activated quarterback Michael Pratt from the practice squad on Saturday, making him eligible to play in the team’s Week 13 game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.”

Buccaneers have also downgraded the status of linebacker Joe Tryon-Shoyinka,

“Additionally, outside linebacker Joe Tryon-Shoyinka has been downgraded to Out, and will not travel with the team.”

Tryon-Shoyinka has been a key contributor for the Buccaneers this season, starting all 11 games and accumulating 18 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble. Meanwhile, Pratt is receiving his second call-up from the practice squad. As per NFL rules, Pratt must be active for the game to have any chance of making his regular-season debut.
