On this episode of the Bucs MinuteCast with Dan Holmi, in Week 13, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers secured a dramatic 26-23 overtime victory against the Carolina Panthers improving their record to 6-6 and tying them for the NFC South lead.
A notable incident took place at halftime when Panthers safety Sam Franklin Jr. confronted Buccaneers edge rusher Jose Ramirez.
The game highlights included Chase McLaughlin’s clutch kicks, including a 51-yarder to tie the game and a 30-yarder for the win. Defensive standout Anthony Nelson forced a crucial fumble, leading to the Bucs regaining momentum,. Baker Mayfield had a solid performance, throwing for 235 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions, while Mike Evans made a significant impact with eight catches for 118 yards and a touchdown.
Rookie running back Bucky Irving showcased his skills, rushing for a season-best 152 yards and totaling 185 yards from scrimmage. His contributions, along with Rachaad White’s efforts, were integral in the team’s strong running game, totaling 236 yards.
