The Tampa Bay Buccaneers overcame several turnovers to defeat the Las Vegas Raiders 28-13 on Sunday to take over first place in the NFC South. Unfortunately one of their key players on defense left the game with an injury. Early in the game All-Pro safety Antoine Winfield Jr left with an knee injury. Monday at head coach Todd Bowles’ press conference he updated Winfield Jr’s status.
“Bowles says Antoine Winfield has a sprained knee (fixed) and will miss “a couple” of games.”
The 2024 season has been brutal for Winfield Jr in regards to injuries. The All-Pro safety has missed time with a foot, a calf and now knee injury. This report that Winfield Jr will miss “a couple” of games just further hampers the Pewter Pirates defense as it prepares for the playoff push.
