The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made a few roster moves in preparation for their season finale against the New Orleans Saints. Defensive lineman Earnest Brown and linebacker Antonio Grier have been re-signed after being waived last Saturday.
“Bucs announce they’ve brought back LB Antonio Grier and DL Earnest Brown to the practice squad. Both were cut from the 53 last week.”
“The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have brought back defensive lineman Earnest Brown and linebacker Antonio Grier, two young defenders they waived last Saturday in order to open roster spots for the return of Jordan Whitehead and Kameron Johnson from injured reserve. Both Brown and Grier were signed to Tampa Bay’s practice squad on Tuesday.”

Grier joined the Bucs as an undrafted free agent from Arkansas in May. He began the season on the practice squad before being promoted to the active roster twice, appearing in seven games and contributing primarily on special teams with one kick coverage tackle in 2024.
After injuring his ribs in practice just before the season opener, Brown began the year on the Buccaneers’ injured reserve list. He was reinstated to the active roster on October 21 and has since participated in six games, logging 21 defensive snaps. Brown, a fifth-round draft pick by the Rams in 2021, has prior NFL experience, having played in 12 games with three starts for Los Angeles, where he accumulated 16 tackles, including one for a loss.
After going undrafted, Grzesiak signed with the Buccaneers in May, following his collegiate stint at Cincinnati. He has remained on the team’s practice squad for the duration of the 2024 season.
The team’s practice squad had one open spot after Jack Browning’s promotion to the active roster on Saturday. The team then created a second vacancy on Tuesday by moving rookie outside linebacker Daniel Grzesiak to the practice squad injured reserve list.
