The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are gearing up for their regular-season finale against the New Orleans Saints. Unfortunately they’ll face the dreaded Saints while missing two key members of their defensive secondary.
Via the Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud,
“Bucs S Antoine Winfield Jr. and CB Jamel Dean are out for this game. TE Cade Otton will be a game time decision, Todd Bowles said.”
Confirmation from the team’s website,
“The Buccaneers will be gunning for a fourth straight NFC South title on Sunday, but they’ll have to do so without two key members of their secondary. After practice on Friday, Head Coach Todd Bowles confirmed that cornerback Jamel Dean and safety Antoine Winfield Jr. would both miss the Week 18 game against the New Orleans Saints due to knee injuries.”
Antoine Winfield Jr. will be sidelined for the fourth consecutive game due to an injury sustained during the Buccaneers’ Week 14 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.”
Jamel Dean has struggled with a knee issue, which previously led to a four-week injured reserve stint in October and November, and forced him to exit last Sunday’s game against Carolina.
