Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs made history friday. Wirfs has made history as the first player to be named first-team All-Pro at both left and right tackle in the Associated Press All-Pro Team award.

This impressive achievement also secures Wirfs’ spot as the sixth player in Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise history to receive multiple All-Pro accolades, joining legendary players like Derrick Brooks, Warren Sapp, and John Lynch.

Via the team’s reporter, Brianna Dix,

“Todd Bowles says S Antoine Winfield Jr. (knee) and CB Jamel Dean (knee) will play against Washington. Adds, TE Cade Otton (knee) is trending in the right direction for Sunday’s Wild Card clash.”

Tristan Wirfs delivered a standout performance in 2024, demonstrating exceptional pass-blocking skills. According to Pro Football Focus, Wirfs played 16 games without allowing a single sack. Across 1,014 offensive snaps, he yielded only one quarterback hit and 12 pressures, earning a impressive 93.7 pass-blocking grade – the highest among qualifying offensive linemen.

NFL Next Gen Stats further highlight Wirfs’ dominance, with a pressure rate of 4.7% in 2024, second-lowest in the league. Notably, when blocking one-on-one, Wirfs boasted the lowest pressure rate (5.0%) among players with at least 500 pass-blocking snaps, underscoring his ability to excel in individual matchups.
