The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are beginning their process to find an offensive coordinator, again. This is not a position the team thought they’d be in a few days ago. But with the slimy departure of Liam Coen, it’s time for Jason Licht and company to work their magic.

First up is Nate Scheelhaase, from the Los Angeles Rams coaching staff.

Via ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler,

“The #Bucs have requested to interview offensive assistant/pass game specialist Nate Scheelhaase for their offensive coordinator position, per source.

Former Illinois quarterback was Iowa State’s OC before joining Sean McVay’s staff in 2024.”

Nate Scheelhaase, 34, boasts impressive credentials, including coordinator experience at Iowa State, where he successfully enhanced the offense in multiple areas, notably with a freshman quarterback at the helm. His stint under Sean McVay last year further underscores his potential. Scheelhaase’s strengths include:

– Effective communication skills
– Quarterbacking background
– Proven understanding of offensive strategies

These attributes make him an attractive candidate for future opportunities.
