Potential NFL Draft Destinations: Where are the 2025 Prospects Likely to Land?

0

The annual NFL Draft is one of the most anticipated events on the sporting calendar, helping to whet the appetite for the forthcoming football season. Following the Super Bowl, attention unsurprisingly turns to the Draft, which enables teams to rebuild their rosters and gives underperforming sides a chance to plan ahead, potentially rectifying last year’s missteps.

Across the three days, thousands of college graduates will finally fulfil their ambitions of becoming NFL players. Each team will be allowed to strengthen with a first-round pick, yet several trades are still expected to be negotiated ahead of the event.

With the 2024 season firmly behind us, football fans are already looking ahead to the Draft, which will take place in Green Bay at the end of April. With no immediate on-field action, the majority of online bookmakers have turned their attention to the No. 1 overall pick, allowing bettors to predict which player will be selected first in Wisconsin.

As you’d expect, these draft markets are available with traditional online bookmakers, betting exchanges, and spread betting indexes. They are also offered by many sites that are primarily associated with online slots. FelixSpin, a top online casino Austria is one such example, with players able to wager on several ante-post markets when it comes to elite competitions such as the NFL and NBA.

Cam Ward – QB

Cam Ward is the favourite with the bookmakers to be the Number 1 Overall Pick. With 158 career passing touchdowns and having ranked second in the country for passing yards, he is unlikely to be short of suitors this summer. He has undoubted potential and has improved year-on-year throughout his college career.

The Tennessee Titans will get the first overall pick this year, and they require a QB, as Will Levis has not delivered over the last two seasons. NFL analyst Nick Shook does not believe that the franchise’s hierarchy is banking on him long-term, therefore bringing in a potential replacement would make a lot of sense.

Should the Titans divert their attention elsewhere, the New York Giants may be a sensible destination for the Miami man. They suffered 14 losses in 2024 and are crying out for more creativity in the offense. They require a QB to build their roster around this season with coach Brian Daboll desperately seeking high-quality reinforcements.

Travis Hunter – CB / WR

2024 Heisman winner Travis Hunter is another player who is likely to be highly sought-after in the 2025 NFL Draft. He excelled in both defense and offense and as a result, he can be deployed as both a wide receiver and a defensive back.

The New England Patriots would appear to be a logical place to land for this ‘generational talent’. They need to address their offensive line and Hunter’s ability to turn a game on its head could prove to be useful throughout 2025. They lack elite talent in this department and a recent raft of injuries may also persuade them to take the plunge.

The Chicago Bears are another option for the Colorado star; however, he would need to fall to No. 10 to join Ben Johnson’s men.

Abdul Carter – DE

Abdul Carter has shown terrific development throughout his years at Penn State. He has a decent burst off the line of scrimmage and could be a good fit for several teams, including the New England Patriots, the Tennessee Titans, and the Carolina Panthers.

He spearheaded one of the nation’s best defensive units and continued his form despite suffering a shoulder injury. The Panthers need to improve their defensive numbers, however, with the 8th overall pick, they will be keeping their fingers crossed that he isn’t acquired by another franchise before they are given the chance to snap him up.

Shedeur Sanders – QB

The Las Vegas Raiders look like a fairly obvious spot for Sanders, who has divided opinion despite his impressive numbers. Tom Brady is helping them reshape their roster ahead of the 2025 season and he is likely to spot the potential in the Colorado man, who finished 2024 with the third-highest accuracy rate.
