As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers began revealing their free agent signings on Wednesday and Thursday, the team also bid farewell to another member of their roster.
The Minnesota Vikings have officially signed former Buccaneers offensive tackle Justin Skule, as reported by Alec Lewis of The Athletic. Skule was a reliable contributor for the Buccaneers in 2024, appearing in all 17 games and making five starts.
A sixth-round draft pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2019, Skule played for the 49ers from 2019 to 2022, accumulating 31 appearances and 12 starts. His tenure with the team was cut short due to a torn ACL, ultimately leading to his release in 2022.
Skule joined the Buccaneers’ practice squad later in 2022 and eventually earned a promotion to the 53-man roster. Last season, he served as a reliable backup to Pro Bowl tackle Tristan Wirfs. Now, Skule is set to continue his NFL journey with the Vikings.
