The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have earned impressive grades for their offseason moves so far, and with the NFL draft just around the corner, they’re poised to further bolster their roster.
The Buccaneers have successfully addressed key positions and added depth, and although additional moves are possible, their attention has shifted to strategizing for the draft and securing top talent from the incoming collegiate class.
Before the draft takes center stage, free agency remains a topic of discussion, and the Buccaneers are still making waves. One notable move was the signing of edge rusher Haason Reddick to a one-year, $14 million contract – a intriguing addition that has raised eyebrows this offseason.
Reddick has been a puzzle to decipher since emerging as one of the NFL’s top pass-rushers. He racked up four consecutive seasons with double-digit sacks, earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl recognition, but his momentum was halted when he held out for a more lucrative contract from the Philadelphia Eagles last offseason, not the New York Jets.

The holdout was prolonged, prompting Reddick to part ways with his agent and sign with renowned representative Drew Rosenhaus. Just one week after the change, Reddick rejoined the Jets, but unfortunately, he failed to regain his All-Pro form, managing only one sack in 10 games.
A resurgence appears likely for Reddick in Tampa Bay, and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, echoed this sentiment in an exclusive interview with JoeBucsFan.com Rosenhaus confidently assured Bucs fans that they can expect a revitalized and rejuvenated Reddick.
“Haason, in all of our discussions, has been incredibly excited about signing with the Buccaneers,” Rosenhaus said via JoeBucsFan. “Really looking forward to playing for Coach Bowles, and he knows [outside linebackers] Coach [Larry] Foote well. Really pumped about going to one of the better teams in the league. He’s really motivated to have a great season — last year was a challenging year for a lot of reasons. But he’s looking forward to rebounding and getting back in the Pro Bowl and All-Pro and hopefully winning a championship.”
Initially, some fans had reservations about the signing, but many now believe that a change of scenery was exactly what Rediamik needed after a disastrous season with the Jets.
A Foote In With The Buccaneers
Reddick’s prior relationship with Coach Foote undoubtedly played a role in his decision to join the Buccaneers. The two spent time together with the Arizona Cardinals from 2017-18, where Foote helped lay the groundwork for Reddick’s future success, even if Reddick’s breakout didn’t occur until after Foote’s arrival in Tampa Bay.
It seems the Buccaneers are acquiring a player with a chip on his shoulder, eager to prove he remains an elite talent at his position. Moreover, Reddick is thrilled to join the Bucs and motivated to rebound and bring another Super Bowl title to Tampa Bay, which his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, describes as “one of the better teams in the league.”
