The wait is always long, but there’s one date every Buccaneers and NFL fan has marked in red on their spring calendars: the official unveiling of the 2025 NFL Schedule. While the league hasn’t announced it yet, looking at the pattern of recent years, we can make a pretty solid prediction about when we’ll finally know the path the Buccaneers—and the rest of the teams—will follow.
When has the NFL schedule been released in previous years?
For more than two decades, the NFL has followed a fairly consistent schedule announcement routine. Here’s a look at the most recent dates:
• 2024: May 15
• 2023: May 11
• 2022: May 12
• 2021: May 12
• 2020: May 7
• 2019 and previous years: between April 6 and 23
As you can see, since 2020, the NFL has opted to release its schedule in May, moving away from the traditional April dates that dominated the previous decade.
Our prediction: May 14, 2025
Considering this evolution and the internal logic of the NFL calendar, GoBucs.es is betting on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, as the date on which the 2025 NFL Calendar will be officially revealed.
Why May 14th?
• In the last 4 years, the calendar has been revealed between May 11 and 15.
• Wednesday is the NFL’s preferred day for big announcements, due to its midweek media impact.
• The date falls just after Rookie Minicamp and before the OTAs, two important milestones in the offseason.
• In addition, it allows the announcement to be coordinated with television networks and generate media expectation without competing with other major events.
What does it mean for the Buccaneers?
For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their fans, knowing the 2025 NFL Schedule means much more than just game dates. It means planning trips, preparing “Cannons and Football” get-togethers, analyzing opponents, and starting to dream big!
