Who is Donovan Ezeiruaku?
Ezeiruaku has been a key player for Boston College for four seasons, but it wasn’t until 2024 that his star shone brightest. Named First-Team All-ACC , he has shown a tremendous qualitative leap, becoming a technical and productive pass rusher , ideal for multiple systems.
With experience in both 4-3 and 3-4 fronts , Ezeiruaku can play with his hand on the ground or stand up as an OLB. His alignment versatility and natural bend make him a very attractive profile for creative defenses like Todd Bowles’.

Donovan Ezeiruaku’s move to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would mean adding a technically savvy, fast, and disruptive player who can pair with Haason Reddick and thrive in the heat of Larry Foote. His diverse range of abilities makes him a threat on the edge and a tactical asset in mixed-team formations.
Areas to improve
Although he doesn’t shy away from contact, Ezeiruaku still needs to build functional strength to avoid being displaced on run downs, especially against powerful tackles. He tends to be a gap-penetrating slasher , but needs to work more on his power play (bull rush, long arm).
NFL Comparison: Yannick Ngakoue
Like Ngakoue, Ezeiruaku stands out for his natural bend, speed, and refined pass rush technique. He’s not an anchor against the run, but he’s an immediate sack generator with high situational value.
Would Donovan Ezeiruaku be a good fit for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
Bowles’ defense needs depth and fresh energy on the edge , and Ezeiruaku fits the bill. He’d be an ideal backup for third-down rotations and can grow in snaps as he refines his run-strength. He’s a surefire second-round value with early starting potential.
