The schedule was officially revealed during prime time
The highly anticipated 2025 NFL Schedule Release took place on Tuesday, May 14 at 8:00 PM ET , broadcast on NFL Network and also available on NFL+ . For the Buccaneers, the team posted a fun video featuring Jon Gruden doing a special unboxing of the schedule:

W18 CAR Difficult start: 7 of the first 11 matches will be away from home
The Bucs will have a very demanding start to their schedule in terms of travel: seven of their first 11 games will be on the road (including the bye, that’s seven in 12 weeks). This includes visits to teams like the Seahawks, Lions, Saints, and Rams.
Home final: Four home games in the last six weeks
The silver lining comes last: The Buccaneers will play four of their final six games at home , which could prove decisive in their playoff push if they have a chance.
Only four home games before Week 13
There will only be four home games through Week 12 , making Raymond James Stadium a scarce venue for the opening stretch of the season.
Divisional rival twice in three weeks
There are only four instances this year where divisional teams have met twice in three weeks , and the Bucs are among them :
- Bucs vs. Panthers: W16 in Carolina and W18 in Tampa
- Giants-Eagles: W6/W8
- Ravens-Bengals: W13/W15
- Packers-Bears: W14/W16
Three consecutive home games
The Buccaneers are one of 11 NFL teams that will have a three-game homestand this season, a rare occurrence. The other teams are the Bills, Bengals, Lions, Texans, Jaguars, Ravens, Chiefs, Dolphins, Jets, and Titans.
Curiosity: repeated rival in preseason and regular season
It’s not often a team faces the same opponent in both the preseason and the regular season , but that’s what will happen in 2025. The Bucs will play a team (yet to be confirmed) in both contexts, something that hasn’t happened since 2014 , when they lost to Washington in the preseason and then beat them in the regular season during a 2-14 season.
