There’s this idea we love to romanticize—that legacy is written in the final moments.
On May 7th, our adoption was finalized.

🔁 Full Circle Moments
A few days later, I stood on stage at the Project Bridge Leadership Luncheon, an event I helped launch ten years ago. I wasn’t just a speaker—I was a closer.
This was the final one.
Legacy isn’t built at the end of a program.
Because legacy isn’t just what we leave behind—it’s what we help others believe is still possible.
Think back: did we predict that slow start, only to rip off six wins in our final seven games and sprint to a 10–7 finish and the NFC South crown?
Did we see us dropping a late game and needing the Falcons to lose just to sneak in?Did anyone forecast Mike Evans’ epic, season‑clinching catch on the final play—surpassing 1,000 yards for the 11th straight year (tying Jerry Rice) and unlocking a $3 million bonus—while the fans at Raymond James exploded?
Or that ridiculous escape by Baker Mayfield in Week 10—dodging Nick Bosa, flipping his body, and finding Rachaad White on the run—earning a shoutout from Tom Brady himself?
Those highlights matter because they became shared memories—Sunday afternoons we talk about for years:
-
What will your Sundays look like?
-
Who will you be celebrating with?
-
How will your life look different this season?
So yes, they’ll post the dates and times next week. But the real question is, what moments will you carve into your legacy before the final whistle blows?
😅 But Fine… Let’s Talk Predictions
But since this is technically a sports blog (kind of)…Here are my way-too-detailed, don’t-hold-me-accountable picks for the 2025 Buccaneers season:

Week 1 – vs. Falcons
We still remember how last year ended—with Atlanta sweeping us. That taste lingers. This time, we make a statement and start the year with a divisional win.
Record: 1–0
Week 2 – at Cowboys
Mike Evans knows what this means. Under the lights, back in Texas—he leans into the moment and reminds the state exactly who he is. The race for 1K starts with a W.
Record: 2–0
Week 3 – vs. Jets
It’s a low-scoring slugfest. We start strong, then stumble—until Todd Bowles dials up a late-game turnover to outwit his former team. Buccaneers stay perfect.
Record: 3–0
Week 4 – at Eagles
Our new tush-push stopper debuts, but the Eagles grind the clock late. Saquon converts a crucial 3rd down and runs out the clock. Our first loss.
Record: 3–1
Week 5 – at Seahawks
The dreaded West Coast trip. Sam Darnold throws for 400 yards and briefly fools the world into thinking Seattle made a brilliant move. We lose a shootout.
Record: 3–2
Week 6 – vs. 49ers
No Baker vs. Bosa heroics this time, but Brock Purdy is banged up and Mac Jones is… well, Mac Jones. Buccaneers roll and give the home crowd something to cheer.
Record: 4–2
Week 7 – vs. Lions
The Lions look flat, Goff struggles, and Dan Campbell goes full chaos on 4th down—three times. Bucs survive in overtime.
Record: 5–2
Week 8 – at Saints
I will never predict us losing to the Saints. Period. We win.
Record: 6–2
Week 9 – Bye
Perfect timing. Rest. Recover. Reset.
Week 10 – vs. Patriots
The “Brady Bowl” storyline is played to death. Everyone shows up for the drama—and leaves talking about the defense. Buccaneers win 13–3 in the most overhyped game of the year.
Record: 7–2
Week 11 – at Bills
Buffalo looks like the best team in football. This one’s humbling. We take the L.
Record: 7–3
Week 12 – at Rams
The Rams still haunt Bucs fans, and this one’s no different. They play us tough and win. Two straight losses sting.
Record: 7–4
Week 13 – vs. Cardinals
A get-right game. Arizona’s in freefall, and the Bucs take care of business easily.
Record: 8–4
Week 14 – at Saints
New Orleans is already scouting their next overpaid QB. We sweep the Saints.
Record: 9–4
Week 15 – vs. Falcons
Biggest game of the year. Division title on the line. Mike Evans has a vintage performance. Bucs win in overtime.
Record: 10–4
Week 16 – at Panthers
Emeka Egbuka locks up Rookie of the Year with a 100+ yard, two-touchdown breakout. Bucs dominate.
Record: 11–4
Week 17 – vs. Dolphins
Rumor has it Miami partied in Ybor the night before. We win by 30.
Record: 12–4
Week 18 – at Panthers
Division’s locked up. Starters rest. Carolina steals one to end their season.
Record: 12–5
In the end—whether my predictions are close or way off—this season, and the legacy of this team, won’t be defined by the number we get in the win-loss column.
It will be defined by the fight.
By the comebacks, by how we respond to adversity.
And for you?
