Early Life and College Career

Born on April 15, 1999, Otton played college football at the University of Washington, where he was a standout tight end. He recorded 91 receptions for 1,026 yards and nine touchdowns in his collegiate career, earning first-team All-Pac-12 honors and becoming a semifinalist for the John Mackey Award in 2020.

Professional Career

Cade Otton was drafted in the fourth round (106th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Otton’s NFL career stats are as follows

• 2022 Season: 42 receptions, 391 receiving yards, 2 touchdowns
• 2023 Season: 47 receptions, 455 receiving yards, 4 touchdowns
• 2024 Season: 59 receptions, 600 receiving yards, 4 touchdowns

Some Notable Performances

• Catching a game-winning touchdown from Tom Brady in Week 9 of the 2022 season against the Los Angeles Rams
• Setting career highs in targets (11), receptions (8), and receiving yards (89) in the Wild Card round victory over Philadelphia
• Scoring his first career postseason touchdown in the Divisional round contest at Detroit

Contract

Otton’s current contract with the Buccaneers spans four years and is valued at $4,493,944, with a signing bonus of $833,944. His contract includes performance-based incentives, which could significantly boost his earnings if he meets specific goals. With his rookie deal ending after the 2025 season, Otton will likely need to perform well to secure a potential re-signing with the Buccaneers.
