The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are bolstering their safety corps by signing Will Brooks, a former standout from the Tennessee Volunteers.
This move comes as injuries have thinned out their depth, particularly with safety J.J. Roberts’ season-ending leg injury sustained during joint practice with the Pittsburgh Steelers and defensive back Christian Izien’s oblique injury from Saturday’s preseason game. Brooks will join the team as they gear up for their final preseason matchup against the Buffalo Bills, following their 17-14 win over the Steelers.

“Dealing with injuries at safety, Bucs are signing rookie safety Will Brooks from Tennessee, who was a tryout player at rookie minicamp and also briefly with the Saints. Had four INTs in 2024.”
