The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ captain roster remains unchanged from last season. The same six players earned the honor through teammate voting: Mike Evans, Baker Mayfield, and Tristan Wirfs on offense, and Lavonte David, Vita Vea, and Antoine Winfield Jr. on defense.
The Bucs’ captains showcase the team’s leadership core, with all six players serving for at least three consecutive years. David leads the pack, marking his 12th season as captain and 14th with the team – a franchise record shared by only two others. Evans follows closely, entering his ninth straight year as captain.
Head Coach Todd Bowles revealed the captain selections, chosen by player vote on Monday, during Wednesday’s team meeting. The Bucs will kick off their regular season this Sunday against division rival Atlanta Falcons in Atlanta.
