Week One Buccaneers Big Gambling Guide

The NFL season is under way! Football is finally back and we are all very excited about it. And while we all love football, betting on football is almost as cool.

There are several bets for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that I really like this week. Whether you pick and choose which ones you like or parlay them all together, these are some of my favorites. Here is my Week One Big Bucs Gambling Guide.

Emeka Egbuka Anytime Touchdown

All offseason, Emeka Egbuka has received a ton of buzz. How professional he is or how polished he is; everyone has raved about him. Sunday we begin to learn if the hype is real.

I believe it will be. With so much attention being paid to Mike Evans and Bucky Irving, Egbuka will have one on one opportunities. If that’s the case near the red zone, which I expect it to be, then he will likely score at some point in this game.

Mike Evans First Touchdown

We don’t know what the Bucs offense will look like exactly with new offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard. So it might take a little time for this offense to find their groove. When you are getting into the rhythm of a game or even a season then you probably want to go to the known commodity.

Baker Mayfield has a great connection with Evans. They were one of the most dynamic duos in the NFL last year. And with touchdowns being Evans specialty, I believe an offense that runs through him early will find the end zone.

Baker Mayfield Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns

If I believe that both of these guys score touchdowns, then obviously I believe that Mayfield will throw two touchdowns. Even if one of these guys doesn’t score, there are so many other options who could.

Mayfield threw 41 touchdowns last season. Even if that number regresses to 34 touchdowns then that’s still an average of two per game. I won’t call this free money, but I like this bet.

Over 47.5 Points

The Falcons didn’t have a good defense last year. The Bucs weren’t great either for that matter. This made for a pair of exciting high scoring games when these two teams played last year.

Both defenses have improved in the offseason, but with these two high powered offenses I’m still expecting a lot of points. They only have to score in the mid 20s to hit this total and I think the winning team will land in the 30s.

Bijan Robinson Over 77.5 Rushing Yards

All the talk has been about new quarterback Michael Penix and I understand why. But let’s not forget that the Falcons offense runs through Bijan Robinson. He is one of the best running backs in the NFL and this team will only go as far as he will carry them.

This total isn’t low considering the defense he’s going against. However, Bucs star nose tackle Vita Vea has been banged up this week with a foot injury. If Vea isn’t 100% then I expect Robinson to hit this total.

Bucs -1.5

During his tenure the Bucs are 3-0 in week one under Todd Bowles. He does a great job drawing up a game plan and attacking his opponent. That combined with the fact that the Buccaneers have the better roster and this is an easy bet for me.
