The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed defensive lineman Elijah Simmons from the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad.
Simmons, a 6-1, 335-pound defensive lineman, joins the Buccaneers after signing with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent on. Simmons played in all three preseason games for Arizona, recording four tackles in 75 snaps. A five-year collegian at the University of Tennessee (2020-24), he appeared in 55 games (8 starts), tallying 59 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 3 passes defensed, and a half-sack. Simmons, from Nashville, Tennessee, will wear No. 92 for Tampa Bay.
