It is a potential NFC championship game preview this weekend in Tampa. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play host to the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams enter this game 3-0 and only one will walk away still undefeated.
The Buccaneers have been ravaged by injuries this season. With multiple starters being put on Injured Reserve, the team received some good news this week.
Via ESPN’s Adam Schefter,
“Three key Buccaneers listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Eagles — QB Baker Mayfield (bicep), WR Chris Godwin (ankle), and LT Tristan Wirfs (knee) — all are expected to play, per sources.”
The team gets a significant boost with the returns of two key players. Tristan Wirfs and Chris Godwin. Baker Mayfield, the quarterback, was listed as questionable due to a biceps injury but is now expected to play. Wirfs has been dealing with a knee injury that required offseason surgery and didn’t play in the first three weeks of the season. Godwin is coming off a season-ending ankle injury suffered in October 2024 and was limited in practice this week.
