Report: Buccaneers’ Mike Evans to Return to Practice

0

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles expressed optimism earlier this week about wide receiver Mike Evans returning to practice, and it appears that will indeed happen Thursday.

Evans, sidelined since Week three with a hamstring injury, is poised to rejoin his team on the practice field, a crucial development for the 5-1 Bucs as they prepare for their Week seven Monday Night Football matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Evans is expected to participate in Thursday’s practice for the first time since his Week 3 hamstring injury, as reported by Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. The Buccaneers are holding their first weekly practice Thursday.

Evans’ participation level in Thursday’s practice will indicate his likelihood of playing this week. If he’s healthy enough to suit up, it would significantly boost the Buccaneers’ receiving corps, will be missing Chris Godwin and possibly Emeka Egbuka.

Whether Evans’ will play in Monday night’s game against the Detroit Lions remains uncertain, but his return to practice today is a positive sign for the Pewter Pirates.
