Two Buccaneers Named to 2026 Pro Bowl Roster

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been on a pretty bad stretch as of late. So some good news is always welcomed.

The NFL has announced the 2026 Pro Bowl Roster, and two Buccaneers made the cut, and two more were named alternates.

Via the team’s website,

“The National Football League today announced that Tampa Bay Buccaneers tackle Tristan Wirfs and safety Antoine Winfield Jr. were named to the 2026 Pro Bowl Games. The nod marks the second career Pro Bowl selection for Winfield Jr. (2021), while Wirfs has now earned five consecutive trips (2021-25) in just six NFL seasons. Both players were members of General Manager Jason Licht’s 2020 draft class.”

Tristan Wirfs earned his fifth Pro Bowl selection. This makes him the leader in Pro Bowl selections among offensive linemen in Buccaneers history. He’s also tied with Jimmie Giles for third-most selections by an offensive player in team history. This puts him behind Mike Alstott (six) and Mike Evans (five). Wirfs became the first Buccaneers player on either side of the ball to accomplish this feat since Gerald McCoy made six consecutive Pro Bowls from 2012-17.

Antoine Winfield Jr. has 83 tackles (four for loss), seven passes defensed, two interceptions, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, 1.0 sack, and four quarterback hits in 15 games this season. He’s the only defensive back and one of three players with 75+ tackles, multiple interceptions, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery through Week 16.

The Buccaneers have two players named as alternates for the 2026 Pro Bowl games: cornerback Jamel Dean and quarterback Baker Mayfield.

The BR Rub

For a team with so many pre-season expectations, two Pro Bowlers seems bad. But let’s be honest, this is a fan vote thing now. So take anything about the Pro Bowl with a grain of salt.

The Pro Bowl Games air live Feb. 3 from San Francisco’s Moscone Center. ESPN coverage starts at 6:30 p.m. ET, flag game at 8 p.m. ET.
