Recently the Cleaveland Browns adjusted Myles Garrett’s Contract, moving 160 million dollars around.
This led to a ton of speculation amongst the league that maybe the Browns were doing this in order to make a trade for Garrett much easier for any team looking to add a NFL Defensive Player of the Year to their roster.
After those rumors began and the Browns presumably started fielding calls about him. Then NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports the Browns are “adamant” that Garrett is not being traded.
Via Garafolo,Â
“It was not on the table last year,” Garafolo stated via NFL Network. “It is not on the table again this year. … The Browns are saying they’re not gonna trade him, and they’ve promised us that we’re not gonna look dumb if we say that. So we’ll see.”
And this denial does in fact make sense, the Browns have moved money around as has most NFL teams to make cap room, sadly for fandoms across the league it appears that Myles Garrett is indeed not in the trade market,
As a Buccaneer’ fan myself, I was very much mixed on hearing it may be possible to trade for Garrett when those rumors first came out last night,
imagine The Buccaneer defense with that beast at the edge.
Now that that bubble has burst, I can admit to myself it wouldn’t have happened in the first place.
So now instead of writing this about how the Bucs should be willing to go all in for Garrett, I get to sit here and come to terms with it just being another fantasy.
Or is it?
