Tristan Wirfs Returns to Practice as Buccaneers Receive Injury Updates

0

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers received some encouraging news Monday with Tristan Wirfs returning to practice.

Wirfs has been dealing with a hamstring issue that kept him sidelined throughout training camp. His return marks his first practice of camp.

That makes Wirfs’ return the biggest development from Monday’s injury report. Getting the veteran tackle back on the field provides an important step forward.

Via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times,

Bucs T Tristan Wirfs has returned to practice for the first time this training camp. WR Emeka Egbuka (toe) is out. LB Christian Rozeboom is not practicing.”

Emeka Egbuka Remains Sidelined

While Wirfs returned, Emeka Egbuka remained out of practice with a toe injury.

Egbuka suffered the injury during the Buccaneers’ joint practices with the New York Jets. His absence remains something to monitor as Tampa Bay continues preparing for the regular season.

Christian Rozeboom Also Misses Practice

Linebacker Christian Rozeboom was also absent from Monday’s practice.

Stroud reported that Rozeboom was not practicing. No additional details about his absence were provided in the report.

For now, the biggest takeaway remains Wirfs’ return. After missing the beginning of camp with a hamstring issue, seeing him back on the practice field is encouraging for Tampa Bay.
