When I was informed by Bucs Report that I had been nominated for Best Columnist by Creative Loafing, I was beyond thrilled.
For as long as I can remember, writing has been a hobby of mine. Safe to say, my dream job would be living in Tampa and writing about the Buccaneers.
Local Media Love
Many fans admire the athletes who play for the teams they love. For me, though, I’ve always admired the men and women who cover those teams and bring the stories to the fans.
I’ve been fortunate enough to meet several Tampa media members, including Rock Riley, Jay Recher, Ira Kaufman, Evan Closky, Pat Donovan and Aaron Jacobson, all of whom are pictured in these two photos. Hopefully, one day I’ll also have the opportunity to meet Rick Stroud and Greg Auman.
Winning Columnist of the Year would be incredibly special. It would also give me the opportunity to join some of Tampa’s best and brightest at the prestigious Best of the Bay Awards ceremony, where several of these media members will be in attendance.
Voting closes at the end of the month, so if you feel I’m deserving, I would truly appreciate your vote.
