The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have officially reached the 53-man roster limit. With that work complete, the team can now focus on filling out its practice squad.
Tampa Bay has already added another familiar face to that group. The Buccaneers are bringing back second-year safety Rashad Wisdom, according to Fox Sports’ Greg Auman.
Rashad Wisdom Returns to Tampa Bay
Fox Sports Greg Auman reported the move and provided additional context on Wisdom’s preseason role.
“Bucs are signing second-year safety Rashad Wisdom back to their practice squad. They now have three safeties on the 53 and three on the PS in Wisdom, Melifonwu and Roberts. Wisdom was busy on special teams in preseason.”
Wisdom now joins the practice squad after spending the preseason with Tampa Bay. His special teams contributions gave him an opportunity to remain in the organization.
The Buccaneers now have three safeties on their 53-man roster. They also have three additional safeties on the practice squad.
