Week Two Big Buccaneers Gambling Guide: Browns vs Buccaneers

0

It’s week two and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking for a bounce back against the Cleveland Browns. More importantly, I am looking for a bounce back week after just two of my five bets hit last weekend. A disappointing week one all around.

However, there is no crying over busted parlays. And instead of playing it safe and playing some comfortable odds, I am doubling down and hoping for fireworks this weekend. Here is my week two big Buccaneers gambling guide.

Sean Tucker TD +185

Tucker might be the third running back on the depth chart, but he has a clear cut role. He is the team’s most physical runner and they utilize him in short yardage situations. Specifically, he gets a lot of their goal line carries.

This led him to getting seven touchdowns last season. Now he will see the field for the first time this season after missing week one with an injury. I expect the Bucs will move the ball fairly well on Sunday and Tucker will get a few cracks at the end zone.

Jalen McMillan TD +320

The most notable absence for the Buccaneers last week was receiver Jalen McMillan. He looked very good as a rookie in 2024 before missing most of last year with a neck injury. Now he is back healthy and ready to break out this season.

I have said that I believe that McMillan will lead the team in receiving yards this season. He’s a dangerous weapon out of the slot and I believe he will create separation in this game. Right now, this is the pass catcher that I have the most trust in moving forward.

Buccaneers -8.5 +100

It might be overly simplistic just to say that the Bucs are good and the Browns are bad, but that’s essentially what I’m doing. Both enter this game 0-1 and will have some sense of desperation to get their first win. Considering this game will be played in Tampa, I’d imagine that they get an emotional boost from the home crowd.

The Bucs are just too deep and too well rounded. Cleveland doesn’t have enough good corners to cover all these pass catchers and I don’t trust the Browns quarterback situation enough to have faith that they can keep pace. I’m expecting and betting on a double digit win here.

Baker Mayfield over 210.5 passing yards -114

The Buccaneers have so many good pass catchers. Chris Godwin and Emeka Egbuka lead the way, but don’t overlook guys like Bucky Irving and Kenneth Gainwell out of the backfield as well. Add in McMillan and rookie Ted Hurst and it feels like someone will be open on every play.

I like Browns cornerback Denzel Ward. However, I don’t love their back seven overall. Even if one of the Bucs receivers is totally locked down by ward, I trust the other two or three to consistently have their way one Sunday.

That all adds up to a good day through the air for Mayfield.

Total Parlay +2736
