The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will enter Sunday’s matchup against Cleveland without anyone carrying a doubtful designation. However, three players remain uncertain heading into the home opener.
According to Fox Sports’ Greg Auman, head coach Todd Bowles provided updates on three important injury situations.
“Bowles said no Bucs players will be listed as doubtful for the Browns game Sunday. Miles Killebrew (concussion) needs to clear protocol and he said Jacob Parrish (back) and Jalen McMillan (knee) will be questionable and game-time decisions.”
Miles Killebrew Still Needs Clearance
Safety Miles Killebrew remains in concussion protocol heading into Sunday’s game. Bowles said Killebrew must clear the protocol before he can play against Cleveland.
That makes his situation different from Parrish and McMillan. Both players will carry questionable designations and remain game-time decisions.
Jacob Parrish Remains Questionable
Cornerback Jacob Parrish is dealing with a back injury after leaving Tampa Bay’s season opener against Cincinnati. He will be listed as questionable against Cleveland and remains a game-time decision.
Parrish’s status will be worth watching after the rookie cornerback was unable to finish the Buccaneers’ opener. Tampa Bay will have to wait until Sunday before knowing whether he can return.
Jalen McMillan Also Questionable
Wide receiver Jalen McMillan is also dealing with an injury heading into the home opener. Bowles said McMillan will be questionable with his knee injury.
Like Parrish, McMillan’s status will ultimately come down to a game-time decision. Tampa Bay will have to monitor him through the final stages of its preparation.
Buccaneers Await Final Decisions
The encouraging news is that Tampa Bay will not have anyone listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game. That leaves the possibility that all three players could still be available against Cleveland.
The Buccaneers will make those final decisions closer to kickoff. Getting any of the three players back would give Tampa Bay another boost as it tries to rebound from its Week 1 loss.
