Buccaneers’ QB Gets Positive MRI News

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Buccaneers’ Quarterback Baker Mayfield’s MRI provided some encouraging news.

“Bucs QB Baker Mayfield’s MRI showed no additional damage on his dislocated right thumb, per sources. So, still likely to miss time but some relative good news based on testing. Mayfield will get a second opinion.”

Mayfield is still expected to miss at least a few games. The second opinion should provide additional clarity regarding his recovery timeline.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports,

“Buccaneers HC Todd Bowles said QB Baker Mayfield will miss three weeks due to his thumb injury.”

Jalon Daniels’ Opportunity Has Arrived

With Mayfield sidelined, rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels is expected to take over the offense. This could become a major opportunity for the young quarterback.

Daniels now has a chance to show what he can do at the NFL level. The Buccaneers will need him to step into a difficult situation.

Tampa Bay is already 0-3 and desperately needs answers. Now, Daniels has an opportunity to provide one of them.

It’s time for the rookie to shine.
