Derwin James is talented and will help solidify any struggling DB group, and he would definitely anchor a Bucs group that has struggled overall in years past. James, SS, if selected by the Bucs, would more than likely be moved to CB opposite Brent Grimes. A position that he should flourish in. That would leave Hargreaves as the nickel corner, and then Evans/Conte at safety.
In the event that James, Barkley, and Fitzpatrick are still on the board, who does Tampa Bay choose? Even though both James and Fitzpatrick are tempting, the Bucs have to take Saquon Barkley. In this scenario he is not only the best available player, but he also fills a major area of need with the departure of Doug Martin.
If Barkley is gone, as most mock drafts suggest, without a doubt the Bucs should take Derwin James.
