Bucs end 0-44 streak

uspw_4760824When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers started their game against the Seattle Seahawks Sunday, no one could’ve imagined such a great start when our Bucs went up 14-0 in the first quarter. I’m sure everyone, as I was also, was thinking how amazing it would be to blow out one of the best teams in the NFL. That didn’t quite happen as we expected it to as the Bucs would not be able to score again. Although, when your defense puts on such a dominating performance, who needs to score 40 points right?

Well, that doesn’t happen very much for our Buccaneers, before that game they had been 0-44 all time when not scoring after the first quarter. The last time the Bucs had a 14-0 score after the first and failed to score any more points was back in 1985 when the Patriots ended up winning 32-14. It’s also pretty rare that a team doesn’t score after the first quarter and still win. In the past 30 years, it’s only happened 9 times.

Here’s to an amazing win by our Tampa Bay Buccaneers and an awesome performance by the defense that had fans reminiscing of the Bucs Super Bowl defense. Let’s keep this domination up and stay strong through this playoff run! Go Bucs!
