The legal tampering period begins on Tuesday, meaning teams can contact free agents ahead of free agency which begins on Thursday. It is going to be an interesting week coming up as rumors have already begun to fly.

Recently it has been rumored that Tampa has been interested in Calais Campbell and DeSean Jackson, both great talents and both would fill positions of need. The Broncos have also thrown their name in as potential suitors for Campbell, but due to his want of a large contract, may have the Broncos tap out. The Jacksonville Jaguars have had their name thrown into the mix, as a team with plenty of cap space rumored to also pursue Campbell aggressively.

DeSean Jackson is rumored to be preparing for a visit to Tampa in the next couple of days, he too is believed to have many suitors, as well, and could spark a bidding war.

Tampa’s name has now been thrown in along with Denver’s as teams to pursue Redskins’ free agent DL, Chris Baker. Baker, who is rated as No.18 out of 127 defensive linemen, didn’t get much play his first three seasons in the league, but in his five seasons as a Redskin, has recorded 11.5 sacks, 181 tackles,  5 forced fumbles, 5 pass defends, and has only missed five games.

The Redskins have been trying to work out a deal with Baker and the rumor is that the talks have been going well. The Redskins are rumored to make an offer on the first day of legal tampering, but Bakers’ market value dictates he could get a better offer outside of the Redskins’ organization as it is believed he is to have six or more suitors lining up.
