A TOUGH PILL TO SWALLOW

Here we sit at the half way mark with, putting it mildly, an underachieving record of 2-6. What has happened to this franchise? We are NOT supposed to be this bad. If you watch the Browns and or the 49ers while they are still winless, it appears as if their players want to play. This Buccaneers team appears from all aspects to have given up. The high-powered offense, we all dreamed of, seems as if they couldn’t score a touchdown against a Pop Warner team. The blocked extra point during yesterday’s game in my opinion was the highlight of the game. Coming from what should have been a Top 10 defense is sad.

Some games a team will lose on one or two plays swinging in the other team’s favor. The loss yesterday was all about being bullied by the Saints. Winston being pulled at the half due to injury is a crock. His play is abysmal, he appears to have lost his swagger. Our franchise quarterback is being trolled on Twitter by an opposing team’s wide receiver (Golden Tate). Our star wide out is coming to blows with the opposition on the sidelines, no matter the reason. Our coach sits idly by while chaos ensues on the sidelines. Our defensive coordinator, who many fans were so excited to have returned, myself included, has players playing away from their strengths. McCoy is running stunts really?!

Is this team on the verge of total anarchy? Someone needs to start holding players and coaches accountable…cough…cough…Glazers! This team makes fans want to break their television sets or sell their season tickets to the opposition’s fans. We still have eight games left to play this season, which has now gone from the playoffs to job tryouts. Koetter’s seat was warm after last game, now it should be in flames it is so hot. Growing up in Tampa, I have always been a Bucs fan and coming to a point where the USF Bulls are fielding a better team than their NFL counterparts is sad to watch. This team needs a disciplinarian. Fans are sure to start the “We want Gruden” chants during next week’s Jets game at Ray Jay! Hopefully the team will come to play against a Jets team. That will not be an easy win by any stretch of the imagination! Here’s to hoping Buc fans. Maybe next week’s article will be about a turnaround on the horizon!
