Shortly after the announcement of Doug Martin’s comes the announcement most, if not all, Buccaneers fans wanted to hear. Tampa has announced the release of Chris “Swaggy” Baker. This move may in fact have something to do with the hiring of Brentson Buckner, but that’s just speculation on my part. Either way it was a move that had to be made.
Baker was scheduled to make almost $4.9 million, but in my opinion, and many will agree, he hadn’t earned any of it. Baker being signed for 3 years and $15 million is laughable and I hope the Bucs spend their money more wisely in the coming weeks. Fans are tired of the Bucs signing free agent busts.
