Apollos/Iron Look-Ahead

0

The showdown between the number one-ranked Orlando Apollos and the number two-ranked Birmingham Iron has been much anticipated for the last couple of weeks now. All the cards were lined up for a battle of two undefeated teams to face off in week five. But while Orlando handled their end by defeating the Utah Stallions, Birmingham fell short against San Antonio in the end.

What can we expect from this match-up?

Birmingham’s defense has been lights out this season, and their run game is as efficient as it comes. Orlando, on the other hand, seems to be as well-rounded from defense to offense as it gets.

Can Orlando find a way to slow down the heavy pass rush of the Iron? Can the Iron’s secondary cover Orlando’s talented receiving corps?

In a brand new league with little to go on, I feel secure in stating this is probably going to be the game of the year. And whoever comes out on top this time can be assured to face one another again down the road in a playoff game.
