It seems to me like Noah Spence is starting to turn some heads on the Buccaneers coaching staff (again). Even free agent pick-up, Shaq Barrett, complimented the third-year pro and described Spence as using his hands well.
In just the second day of shells practice (non-padded), Noah got an early opportunity for a rep against last year’s starting left tackle, Donovan Smith. At the snap, Spence fakes an in-and-out move, with a well-timed head fake, then proceeded to switch immediately to the bull rush. Within about two seconds, Smith was laying on his backside and Jameis Winston avoided a potential sack.

Spence is playing hungry this training camp. It’s odd to think this is the same guy who took home an NFC Defensive Rookie of the Month award back in 2016. If today is any indication, however, it looks like Spence might have his swagger back.
