Report: Bucs re-evaluating LB David’s knee issue

Late last night head coach Bruce Arians confirmed that LB Lavonte David is dealing with a possible injury to his knee. Per Greg Auman of the Athletic.

For the past two days the Bucs have sidelined David due to swelling in his knee. It is unclear what was the cause or when the event occurred that cause this swelling.

Last season David had 120 combined tackles, 3.5 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, and 1 forced fumble. He is also due to make $9.75 million this season.

With a unit that has seen a good amount of turnover this offseason, David will be key in leading the new look linebacker unit.
