It looks like Matt Gay will have some competition after all. On Friday, the Buccaneers announced the signing of former Panthers kicker Elliott Fry.
Another move for Tom Brady’s Bucs, who were awarded kicker Elliott Fry off waivers from the Carolina Panthers.

Fry spent four seasons kicking for the South Carolina Gamecocks making 66 of 88 attempts.
In 2018 Fry entered the league as an undrafted free agent before a short stint in the AAF. Fry was brought in for a workout with the Bears and Ravens in 2019 but never landed a contract.
The Carolina Panthers ultimately signed him to a futures contract, before the Buccaneers scooped him off waivers. We’ll see if he pushes Matt Gay for the starting role in 2020.
