The Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski has suffered his first loss since being traded to the team.

Yes, Gronkowski’s reign as the WWE 24/7 Champ is over! As recently as April Gronkowski won the 24/7 belt by pinning Mojo Rowley. Then after being traded to the Buccaneers the WWE announced he must defend his title.

“Congratulations to Rob Gronkowski, the current WWE 24/7 Champion, on his return to football. Per the rules of the 24/7 title, Gronk must defend his championship at all times in any location. He could be celebrating a touchdown pass from #TomBrady … anytime, anywhere.”

The stage was set, but where and when would Gronkowski defend his belt? That answer came Monday as Gronkowski was filming what he thought was a TikTok video.

Posing as a gardener Ron Killings (R-,Truth) came out of nowhere after “flipping mulch” to pin Gronkowski. As R-Truth ran off with the belt Gronkowski yelled “seriously?” The referee who was posing initially as a cameraman replied,

“You better be serious, man, you’ve got a new career started. Come on, let’s go. You’re with the Bucs now. Come on. Let’s do this.”

I’m sure the Buccaneers organization and their fanbase are breathing a collective sigh of relief now that Gronkowski appears done with wrestling. Now about that game show…
